DD214

The DD Form 214 is also referred to as your “Certificate of Release or Discharge From Active Duty”. If you were discharged from active duty after January 1, 1950, you will need to provide a copy of this certificate (along with your Certificate of Eligibility) when applying for a VA loan. If you do not have your DD Form 214, you should contact the National Personnel Records Center.
